Unlike traditional dentures that rely on the gums for support, denture implants are small titanium posts placed inside the gums and adhere to the bone. The denture clicks into place over the implants and securely stays in place.
Implant dentures offer several benefits, such as:
1. Improved stability and comfort: Denture implants are securely anchored in place, eliminating the need for messy adhesives and minimizing the risk of slipping or shifting while eating or speaking.
2. Enhanced chewing ability: Because denture implants are firmly fixed in place, they provide a more stable foundation for chewing, allowing you to enjoy a wider range of foods with ease.
3. Natural-looking appearance: With implant dentures, you can achieve a natural-looking smile that blends seamlessly with your remaining teeth, restoring your confidence and self-esteem.
4. Long-lasting results: Denture implants are designed to last for many years with proper care and maintenance, providing a reliable and durable solution for tooth loss.
Overall, implant dentures can significantly improve your quality of life by restoring your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.
We offer the two main types of implant dentures:
1. Fixed Implant-Supported Dentures: These dentures involve the surgical placement of six or more implants into the jawbone to support a full arch of fabricated teeth. The implants simulate the roots of natural teeth and provide stability to the prosthesis, making chewing and speech feel more natural. In addition, implant-supported dentures help to stimulate the jawbone and reduce bone loss. This type of denture is considered the longest-lasting and most aesthetically satisfying solution available, providing a close-to-natural feeling of having a full set of beautiful teeth.
2. Removable Dentures on Implants: These dentures are also anchored to dental implants, but they can be removed for cleaning or maintenance. They offer many of the same benefits as fixed implant-supported dentures, but they are generally less expensive and require less invasive surgery to place the implants.
Both types of implant dentures can be customized to meet your individual needs and preferences. We can help you decide which option is best for you based on factors such as your budget, oral health, and lifestyle.

Once the healing period is over, patients should be able to eat all the foods they enjoyed prior to treatment. Once all phases of dental implant treatment are complete and the dentures are in place, patients will be able to eat all types of foods.
Dental implants are a popular option for replacing missing teeth. In Ontario, the cost of dental implants can vary depending on factors such as the number of implants needed, the type of implant procedure, and any additional treatments required. On average, patients can expect to pay between $2,000 to $4,000 per implant, not including additional costs such as denture, bone grafting or sinus lifts.

Just like your regular teeth, implant-supported dentures must be cleaned daily. All detachable components should be removed. Proceed with cleaning around the components, artificial teeth and gum areas. It is not recommended to sleep with dentures in your mouth. For Dentures fixed to your mouth we highly recommend using a waterpik to gently clean around your tissue, implants and denture.
With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime. The denture may need to be replaced every 10 years or so due to normal wear and tear but a traditional denture will likely need to be replaced at least every 5-7 years due to your bone structure changes.
