Relining is a crucial process in maintaining the comfort and fit of your dentures over time. This procedure involves adding a new base material to the tissue side of your dentures to ensure a snug fit. Our experienced Denturists will take an impression inside your existing denture to complete the reline, which only affects the fit and not the appearance or denture teeth wear. Relines are necessary when tissue changes occur due to various reasons such as loss of weight, teeth, bone/tissue, disease, or stress.
At Xerri Denture Clinic, our Denturists can offer same-day service for relines to minimize the time you are without dentures. Donโt suffer through discomfort and slippage caused by poorly fitting dentures. Contact us to book your denture reline appointment and let us help you achieve the best possible fit and comfort for your dentures.

The answer to this question will vary for every individual. But on average, you can expect to have a denture reline every year or two.
Soft relines require special home care in order to be properly cleaned. Rinse the reline under cool running water and gently brush with a soft bristle brush. Avoid soaking denture in standard denture cleansers, use a denture cleanser made for soft liner to avoid damage. Talk to your denturist regarding products.
Soft liners have a unique design that makes the dentures adapt to your jaw and gum structure. That is why denturists recommend soft liners to patients with deteriorated or very sore gums. However, if you use an adhesive on a soft liner, it will be difficult to remove it without damaging the liner.
A hard denture reline uses more durable material than a soft reline. The basic process is the same. Hard relines often last years longer than soft relines and can be done the same day.
